What happens when four musically talented pastors from four diverse churches in Saskatoon organize a Christmas concert to support a good cause?
They create a wonderful community event that drew a huge crowd from across the city and raise more than $3,000 for refugee settlement!
Mark Kleiner of Christ Church Anglican, Pastor Jakob Palm from Holy Covenant Evangelical Orthodox Church, Connor Shram of Awakening Church in Warman, and Brock Fehr of C3 Church organized the Pastors Without Borders Benefit on December 8 at Christ Church. They were joined by Aeydan Yee (Bassist) and the Saskatoon Ecumenical Choir.
The “free will offering” for the special holiday event raised $ 3,240.65. The money will be divided between Holy Covenant Church which is sponsoring a family of nine from Burundi, and Nest Saskatoon, which is preparing to welcome seven families to the city.
Thanks to all who volunteered their time and talents.
