Nest members Elaine, Nancy, David and Louise (above) at airport
About a dozen Nest members and friends were at the airport November 8 to welcome Saw, a refugee from Myanmar, who has lived in a refugee camp in Thailand for more than 10 years.
He requested settlement in Saskatoon because he has friends in the city, pictured here with Saw (left) the night of his arrival.

Nest sponsored Saw through the Blended Visa Office Referral Program. Under the cost-shared sponsorship program, the Canadian government provides six months of income support and the Shapiro Foundation generously provided Nest with an additional six months of income support for Saw.
