Shout-out to Glam Bar and The Little Market Box!

The owners of Glam Bar Hair and Esthetic Studio and The Little Market Box in Saskatoon are stepping up to support Nest’s fundraising drive to bring two young Afghan refugee women to the city.

glam-logoJade Good and Lisa Evans, owners of the Glam Bar Hair and Esthetic Studio, are donating $500 towards Abeda and Zainab’s sponsorship, saying Nest is their Christmas charity. Whoo hoo! This is the first time a Saskatoon business has made Nest their charity of choice!

Shawnda Blacklock and Julianna Tan (who just received the 2021 RBC Ones to Watch Entrepreneur Award) have promised to “match” any donations they receive in their store for Abeda and Zainab until December 31.

“These are business women with heart,” says Nest member Gayle Nemeth, one of the organizers of the Nest fundraising drive. “I am so impressed these young women are helping us bring two more young women to Saskatoon.”
