Thanks to everyone who participated in the Nest Equinox Supper on March 22. It was a big success.
“Please give my compliments to the chefs,” writes Rita, who purchased two supper tickets. “The supper was amazing and we enjoyed every bit of it.”
The Nest chefs deserving our appreciation and praise include the mother daughter teams of: Head chef Noor Obada and her mother Rajaa (originally from Iraq), Amira Abaya and her daughter Esraa (Syrian), and Zalikha Alnasanni and her daughter Rayan (Syrian). Ebtsam Elsheikh and her sous chef Malaz (both originally from Sudan) made the delicious samposas.
Thanks also to our squad of more than 20 volunteers who ensured the Middle Eastern Supper was boxed and ready to serve on time, along with those who delivered the food.
We also want to acknowledge and thank our co-ordinators: Noor Obada who organized the meal, Mary Uzelman who organized the event, Elaine Carter who organized the tickets and Rohi Rasa and Mojeeb Bari who organized the volunteers.
